hey, i’m margot

Artist Statement:

My paintings are an outlet for the experiences I can’t explain, capturing the wonder and magic I feel in the world. Connecting with stories is a major drive in my artwork, and I’m always looking for myself and my own story through my practice. By pulling from folklore and fairytale themes I’m able to reveal some of the mysteries of myself and ambitions of my spirit. Combining traditional portraiture and my love of illustration, I’m able to make whimsical narrative pieces that tell stories of magic and imagination.
